The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face

The first time ever I saw you face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
And the moon and the stars were the gifts you gave
through the dark and endless skies my love

The first time ever I kissed your mouth
I felt the earth moved in my hand
like the trembling heart of a captive bird
That was there at my command my love.

The first time ever I lay with you
I felt your heart So close to mine
And I knew our joy, it will fill the earth
And last till the end of time my love.

The first time ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
And the moon and the stars were the gifts you gave
To the dark and the endless skies my love

The first time ever I saw your face,
your face,your face, your face.

This is a very sentimental movie titled "Play Misty for Me"
with the theme song sang by Roberta Flack: The First time Ever I Saw Your Face.

If you're really in love or thought to be in love, this song would remain with you and would evoke memories. I guess, your reaction would vary depending on your emotion at the time you see the movie or hear the lovely song by Roberta Flack.

At least to me, I reacted this way: I felt the pure joy of being in love, although the song is in metaphor, the feeling is that as if my heart would be bursting with happiness(another metaphor). It is like the happiness of a child seeing the mother or father after a short period of separation.
